Program Director providing leadership in South West Florida for addiction recovery programs and activities. Manages halfway houses; and also serves as Advocate interfacing with courts and agencies on behalf of recovering addicts plus assists their attorneys. Community Outreach plus is a Sponsor and frequent Speaker.
Experience In Program Management
Providing vision, innovation and leadership at SRL to help addicts get on the right foot towards their recovery. Leading long-term plus day-to-day activities; plus providing ”hands-on” of program direction through staff, volunteers and recovering addicts, themselves. Dan designed Unity Days for innovation towards recovery.
Advocacy & Community Outreach
By creating a free-of-charge Advocacy service, Dan provides a way for SRL to support recovery addicts and their attorneys, upfront. Services include interfacing with courts and law enforcement agencies; plus referral and placement, too.
Community Outreach
Mr Goodsitt actively seeks opportunities for promoting SRL plus other recovery programs through his “hands-on” community outreach activities. He is a frequent speaker at recovery conferences plus radio, too. Dan works with community leaders, churches, schools and more to promote better programs in SW Florida.
Special Skills
Dan “knows what it is like” to be a recovering addict; he is one. Turning his life around through his own recovery; he firmly believes that in order for a person to have a chance at staying clean they must have a “true surrender.” He lives it.

His work inspired a local author to begin writing a book series about addition and recovery. The first book mentions Mr Goodsitt “…One person in that group particularly has my recognition. He is in a leadership role as program director for an organization working to help liberate those finding themselves in an addiction situation … very dedicated; adept at what he does; and … remains altruistic with sincere dedication … Excellence is in his goals; and achievement is his watchword.”
